Who can benefit from rehabilitation

Surgery, injury and illness can change the way your body functions. Rehabilitation is a type of medical care designed to help you recover by strengthening your body, improving function and helping you confidently and safely perform daily tasks.

It’s possible for anyone to need rehabilitation services at some point during their lives. Our experts are trained to support recovery for patients of all ages and activity levels.

Types of rehabilitation

We offer a comprehensive range of occupational, physical and speech therapy services, in addition to other rehabilitation services. Our compassionate team provides rehabilitation services at all phases of care, from inpatient to outpatient to home care. We help our patients heal quickly and effectively so you can reach your goals and get back to what you love.

Physical therapy uses exercise, hands-on care and education to help you recover physical abilities. Our physical therapists (PTs) work with patients of all ages and skill levels. Whether you want to get back to running marathons after a sports injury or need to rebuild your strength and mobility after an illness, we’ll create a personalized program to help you reach your goals.

We offer a wide range of physical therapy treatments, including blood flow restriction, dry needling and aquatic therapy. Our PTs will work with you to develop a treatment plan that targets your areas of concern.

Hand therapy

Hand therapy can treat a wide range of hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, tennis elbow, arthritis and fractures. This type of treatment uses a combination of manual techniques, splinting and exercises to improve the function and mobility of your hand and arm. Treatment may also include specialized approaches such as blood flow restriction or dry needling.

Our hand therapists are some of the top in the country, and our patient outcomes exceed the national average. During your hand therapy appointment, we’ll assess your hand and arm function and work with you to create a customized treatment plan to maximize your recovery.

Occupational therapy provides comprehensive evaluation, education and direct treatment for patients with physical, cognitive, visual or psychosocial impairments that affect daily living. Occupational therapists (OTs) help you restore function and regain your ability to complete daily tasks. We’re able to assess your ability and help you master the task, or show you how to complete it in a new, different way.

We’ll work with you to improve physical, cognitive and visual skills. Whether you need help returning to work, need to rebuild strength and mobility, or want help building confidence around day-to-day activities like dressing and driving, our team will help you reach your goals.

    Speech therapy

If your condition is making it harder to communicate, you may need the help of a speech therapist. Speech therapists are experts in assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders. Speech therapy provides comprehensive evaluation, education and treatment for patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice and swallowing impairments.

We work with patients of all ages to help with social skills related to speech, manage vocal cord dysfunction and even learn assistive technology that can help with communication. Whatever your needs are, we’ll work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan.

Our therapists are experts in rehabilitation for children of all ages. We’ll tailor a pediatric rehabilitation program to your child’s specific needs. Whether your child needs help with daily living skills, coordination, speech, sensory integration or developmental delays, we’re here to provide the best possible care.

We take a multidisciplinary approach to pediatric therapy. If your child needs physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy, we’ll ensure that they get the comprehensive care needed to participate in play, school and life.
